Hey dudes and dudettes.
Pretty fricken excited to be livin' large in the year 2008... it really does feel like we are existing in the future, if that makes sense, i mean when we started we wrote a song called 'spring 2008' and that, then even tho it was only 5 years ago..seemd like so far away. And here we are.
Anyway, time flies... We played our first ever NYE show a couple of days ago, in our hometown and it was a sweaty and wild time at the Esplanade Hotel. It was the hottest show we ever remember playing (34 degrees celsius at midnight) coupled with the fact that we had the added pressure of doing the countdown... we then did a karaoke version of 1999 by Prince, in which we changed the hook to 2009. It was pretty hilarious at the time.
A while back, whilst we were in LA, we were lucky enough to record some songs for a new UK TV show called From The Basement... a show which will air on the SkyArts, and later be available to purchase somewhere on the internet... anyway so iot is all filmed on HDTV and mixed on tape and produced by none other than Nigel Godrich, so aside from the fact that we were incredibly nervous and played pretty badly, it is really quite special. you can check out a tiny clip and find out more about it http://fromthebasement.tv/

That's about all for now, we will be back with occasional musings, but for the most part this is us signing off for a big fat well earned summer vacation.
Take care, be well, stay fresh. LOVE AIH x
