happy newish year y'alls!

Hey dudes and dudettes.
Pretty fricken excited to be livin' large in the year 2008... it really does feel like we are existing in the future, if that makes sense, i mean when we started we wrote a song called 'spring 2008' and that, then even tho it was only 5 years ago..seemd like so far away. And here we are.
Anyway, time flies... We played our first ever NYE show a couple of days ago, in our hometown and it was a sweaty and wild time at the Esplanade Hotel. It was the hottest show we ever remember playing (34 degrees celsius at midnight) coupled with the fact that we had the added pressure of doing the countdown... we then did a karaoke version of 1999 by Prince, in which we changed the hook to 2009. It was pretty hilarious at the time.
A while back, whilst we were in LA, we were lucky enough to record some songs for a new UK TV show called From The Basement... a show which will air on the SkyArts, and later be available to purchase somewhere on the internet... anyway so iot is all filmed on HDTV and mixed on tape and produced by none other than Nigel Godrich, so aside from the fact that we were incredibly nervous and played pretty badly, it is really quite special. you can check out a tiny clip and find out more about it http://fromthebasement.tv/
Those of you on the Island of Australia will know that com January, the biggest music poll of the year and by all reports the biggest music voting poll in the entire world (with hundreds of thousands of people voting in it...It's called the hOttest 100, counting down the 'hottest' singles of the year 2007... so, Here is where we ask YOU the good people of the world to take a few minutes of your day and vote for us as well as some of the other awesome artists and songs on offer! follow this link to vote 1 - A. I. H. http://triplej.abc.net.au/hottest100/vote/
That's about all for now, we will be back with occasional musings, but for the most part this is us signing off for a big fat well earned summer vacation.

Take care, be well, stay fresh. LOVE AIH x

Downunder Vibes

We are excited to announce two big deal happenings for us in Australia in the coming week, first of all our song 'Heart it Races' has been nominated for 'Song of The Year' at the ARIA awards (australia's equivalent of the grammy's), where we are the davids against the goliaths of OZ rock : wolfmother, silverchair, powderfinger & john butler! So we are quietly laughing to ourselves at the absurdity and the honour of such company. Unfortunately, we won't be able to get suited up and go the awards ceremony as we will be driving somewhere between salt lake city and seattle... Tho we are looking for someone to accept our award if by mega miracle we win, so write us if you can help out! Australians, Watch and cheer for us! It is on the eve of Sunday October 28 and from memory it is on channel 10.
One of our collective teenage dreams will also come true next weekend, we were lucky enough to be asked to program about 3 hours of our favourite video clips on ABC TV's Rage. Check some little chat clips and our epic playlist on the rage site now.

Architecture in Your Face

Architecture in Your Face

Bonjour again from Paris, France, where we are deep in spiritual tour mode.
You may remember when we were here ealrier this year we filmed a couple of songs in the streets which floated about the internet from this site...

Well, since then the same magnificent gents at La Blogotheque have concocted a scheme for revellers at our shows, which is totally incredible. Be sure to come on down and give this a crack. It promises to be pretty darned entertaining. I am sure
we can invent some sort of exotic prize for what we deem to be the 'best' entry, tho everyone is a winner!

http://www.architectureinyourface.com

Check us on the remaining bunch of Euro dates we have in the next 2 weeks,
most of which are with our pal YACHT

Then we will return to the USA for our album launch tour which will be an epic voyage of instellar proportions... joining us along the way wll be the mindblowing disco posse Glass Candy, Portland's weirdo funk god Panther and sweet ass swedish house bangers Lo-Fi-Fnk, check venue websites for the line up in your town!

This will most likely be our last US tour in a long long time, so it'd be great to see at some of the shows (check the dates on our page)

Then we return back to our home for our proper album launch tour and some more special shows which will tell you about soon...

take care,
best,
AIH x
